How the umrah trip planner works

Most pilgrims spend between seven and fourteen nights in Saudi Arabia. The planner asks four simple questions — nights in Makkah, nights in Madinah, which city comes first and who is travelling — and turns your answers into a realistic daily outline, from the day you arrive in ihram to the farewell tawaf.

The outline keeps the first day light, places guided Ziyarat on a rested day, and builds in time for prayers in both Harams. If you start in Madinah, it reminds you to enter ihram at Dhul Hulayfah on the way to Makkah.

Getting the most from your umrah trip planner results

  • Use the arrival date field to see real dates instead of day numbers.
  • Try different splits — for example six nights in Makkah and four in Madinah — and compare.
  • Send the plan to us with one click; the quote form opens with your nights already filled in.

Umrah trip planner: tips before you travel

Open the umrah trip planner page on your phone before you leave home and add it to your home screen. That way it opens instantly in Makkah or Madinah, even when the mobile signal inside the Haram is weak. All our tools are designed for one-handed use, with large buttons and high-contrast text that stays readable in bright sunlight.

If you are travelling with parents or children, share the link with them too. Families often find it helpful when everyone is looking at the same plan, checklist or dua on their own device, especially when you are separated in the crowds and meet again at a fixed point after prayer.

Privacy and accuracy

The umrah trip planner runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us unless you choose to submit a quote request. The religious content is drawn from the Qur’an and well-known hadith collections, and where scholars differ we say so. Rules for visas and permits change, so always confirm the latest details on official platforms such as Nusuk.

Who the umrah trip planner is for

We built the umrah trip planner for first-time pilgrims who want reassurance, for experienced pilgrims helping parents or friends, and for group leaders who need a quick reference to share. It is equally useful at home while you prepare and on the road when a question comes up and there is no time to search through long articles.

If something on this page does not match your situation — for example a medical condition, a disability or travel with young children — tell us about it in your quote request. Our advisers will take it into account, and for religious questions we always recommend asking a qualified scholar you trust.

Umrah trip planner: frequently asked questions

How many days do I need for Umrah?

The rites take three to five hours, but most pilgrims stay seven to fourteen nights to pray in both Harams and visit Madinah.

Should I go to Makkah or Madinah first?

Either is fine. Makkah first suits flights into Jeddah; Madinah first gives a gentler start and you enter ihram at Dhul Hulayfah.

Can I change the plan later?

Yes. The planner is a starting point; we adapt the final itinerary to flights and hotel availability.
