A group Umrah brings people together in the most meaningful way. Travelling with your mosque, study circle or extended family means sharing reminders on the coach, praying side by side in the Haram and returning home with bonds that last for years. With the right organisation, it is also one of the most rewarding ways to perform Umrah.

We work with imams, community organisers and families to plan trips of every size. Each proposal is tailored to the group, with no published prices, because the right hotels and transport depend on your numbers and your dates.
Why choose a group Umrah?
Travelling with others brings practical and spiritual benefits. A well-led group Umrah lets first-time pilgrims learn from experienced companions, and lets everyone focus on worship while the logistics are handled together.
Scholar-led learning
Daily reminders, lessons on the rites and guidance at each step from a scholar or imam travelling with the group.
Shared transport
A dedicated coach for airport transfers, the journey between Makkah and Madinah, and ziyarat.
Companionship
Pray, learn and travel together, with support for anyone who is new, elderly or travelling alone.
Coordinated hotels
Rooms on the same floor or in the same hotel, so the group can meet easily before prayers.
One point of contact
A single adviser for the group leader, with clear updates and documents for every member.
Flexible arrangements
Members can choose different room types or extend their stay while travelling as one group.
Scholar-led group Umrah
Many communities invite their imam or a visiting scholar to lead the trip. A scholar can explain the rites before departure, answer questions about ihram and the Miqat as they arise, and lead reflections at historic sites in Makkah and Madinah.
We can build the itinerary around a programme of talks, with time set aside for lessons in the hotel and guided ziyarat in both cities. Our Madinah ziyarat guide is a helpful starting point for planning visits.
Group Umrah for mosques and communities
Mosques, Islamic centres, schools, charities and community associations all organise trips with us. Some groups are a handful of families; others fill a coach or more. Whatever the size, the planning follows the same principles.
| Group type | Typical needs | What we focus on |
|---|---|---|
| Mosque or Islamic centre | Scholar-led, mixed ages, shared coach | Programme of talks, room planning, one contact |
| Extended family | Children and grandparents together | Adjacent rooms, short walks, gentle pace |
| Sisters’ group | Women travelling together | Women-only rooms and guidance on practical matters |
| Students or youth group | Learning-focused, school-holiday dates | Supervision, structured days, early booking |
| Corporate or alumni group | Short trip, fixed dates | Efficient flights and convenient hotels |
Sisters’ groups may also find our Umrah for women guide useful when preparing members for the journey.

Planning a group Umrah itinerary
A good group Umrah itinerary balances worship, learning and rest. Most groups spend around ten nights in total, often starting in Madinah so members can settle in before entering ihram, then travelling to Makkah to perform Umrah together. Others fly directly to Jeddah and begin with Umrah on the first night.
We recommend performing the rites together for the first time, with the scholar or group leader guiding each stage. After that, members can choose their own rhythm of prayer and tawaf, meeting again for lessons, meals and ziyarat. Our Umrah trip planner helps you sketch the nights in each city before you send us your request.
Choosing the right dates
School holidays suit families and youth groups, while retired members may prefer quieter months with fewer crowds. Many communities organise a group Umrah for the December holidays or for Ramadan, both of which need early planning. Whatever you choose, agree the dates with members before booking so the group can travel together.
Caring for every member
Groups often include elderly members, first-time pilgrims and people travelling alone. Pair newer pilgrims with experienced companions, agree a clear meeting point at the Haram and share a list of emergency contacts. A thoughtful group Umrah leaves no one feeling lost.
Visas and permits for group members
On a group Umrah, members may hold different passports, so visa routes can vary within the same trip. Many nationalities can apply for a tourist eVisa through the official Saudi visa portal, while others travel on an Umrah visa. We confirm the right option for each member, and help everyone set up the Nusuk app for Rawdah visits in Madinah.
Before departure, share our Umrah checklist and Miqat finder with your members so everyone knows where to enter ihram and what to pack.
Group Umrah FAQs
How many people make a group?
There is no fixed minimum. We plan for small family groups as well as large community trips, and adjust transport and rooms to suit your numbers.
Can members travel from different cities?
Yes. Members can fly from different airports and join the group in Jeddah or Madinah, then travel together for the rest of the trip.
Can a group Umrah include a scholar?
Yes. Many groups bring their own imam, and we build the itinerary around lessons, reminders and guided ziyarat.
Can members choose different room types?
Yes. Some members may prefer double rooms while others share quads. We show these choices clearly in the group proposal.
How far ahead should we plan a group trip?
For school holidays and Ramadan, start at least four to six months ahead. For quieter months, three months is usually enough.
Do you publish group prices?
No. Group arrangements depend on numbers, dates and room choices, so we prepare a tailored proposal for each group.
